The second delegation visited Spain and Portugal from September 30th to October 4th under the “EU Pork, the Smart Choice” promotional campaign.; formed by 10 professional pork importers and other key actors from the Philippines.
They toured Madrid, Vigo, Zaragoza, Lleida, Girona, Barcelona, and Lisbon. Over the five days, the delegation visited six meat production plants—four in Spain and two in Portugal—spanning a range of products from fresh pork to high-quality cured meats.
A seminar in Lisbon further enriched the visit, offering the participants a comprehensive overview of the campaign’s core messages and the advantages of European pork.
The delegation left with a deeper understanding of both the European pork industry and the broader market dynamics, reinforcing the campaign’s goals and paving the way for stronger collaboration.
