From 13 to 17 October, EU Pork, The Smart Choice organised the second edition of its Study Trip to Europe, welcoming a delegation of Vietnamese professionals for a five-day visit to Spain and Portugal. Following the success of the first trip held last year, this activity once again provided participants with a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge of European pork production and its high standards.
During the trip, the delegation visited five meat plants – three in Spain and two in Portugal – gaining first-hand insight into production processes, food safety protocols, and the traceability systems that ensure the premium quality of European pork.
The group travelled through several cities, including Barcelona, Girona, Riudellots, Vigo, Lisbon, and Évora, where they met with local industry representatives and explored facilities showcasing advanced production techniques and sustainable practices.
The study trip proved to be a busy and rewarding experience. The Vietnamese importers showed great interest and curiosity, leading to insightful exchanges with local professionals. By the end of the visit, participants had gained a deeper understanding of the products and markets, further reinforcing the campaign’s objectives and strengthening connections between Europe and Vietnam.
