More than 40 industry professionals, including importers, distributors, retail and e-commerce representatives, among others, gathered on September 1st in the Fairmont hotel of Wuhan for an EU Pork tasting, where they were able to deepen their knowledge and enjoy four different cuts of pork from Spain.
During the 2-hour event, a renowned chef went through the key attributes of EU pork, the characteristics of the different cuts, and the production process empathizing from farm to fork safety and quality standards, while a second chef performed a cutting and cooking demonstration of the cuts, and attendees enjoyed the presentation and tasting.
Moreover, there was a ham carving session, where a professional ham carver explained the ham curing process and went over the carving technique while providing ham samples for attendees to taste.
