EU Pork, The Smart Choice, is kicking off 2024 with a series of masterclasses across China. From February 29th to March 29th, chefs from six different cities will have the chance to gain deeper insight into the features of European pork.
For this occasion, the campaign is collaborating with chefs and chef trainees from three institutions:
- Shanghai Institute of Tourism, which boasts a wide variety of majors tailored to food and beverage expertise. From hotel management to culinary techniques, its resources and specialist teachers ensure a comprehensive training experience for aspiring chefs.
- Beijing Union University, situated in the heart of China’s capital, a prestigious culinary institution. With modern facilities and a curriculum focusing on diverse cuisines, cooking technologies, and nutrition, it sets the standard for culinary excellence.
- Additionally, Omick School, which specializes in professional Western culinary arts. Focusing primarily on Western cooking and pastry, it offers high-level classes and opportunities for culinary enthusiasts across China.

Through immersive theory and practical lessons, participants will learn firsthand the culinary versatility of EU Pork, and key concepts such as safety, traceability, biosecurity, disease control, feed safety, quality, animal welfare, and sustainability. From mastering European cuisine to exploring innovative techniques, these sessions empower chefs to elevate their craft and embrace the smart choice of EU Pork.
