EU Pork, The Smart Choice campaign continued its successful series of masterclasses with two events held in Vietnam, attracting a total of 88 attendees. These masterclasses, conducted in collaboration with the A Au Vocational Guidance Corporation School, took place first in Ho Chi Minh City on May 16th, gathering 48 enthusiastic participants, and then on May 23rd, with 40 attendees in Hanoi.
Participants started with a theory session, in which professional chefs explained the characteristics of EU pork from Spain and Portugal, and the details of the different cuts, with a focus on their trade in pork relations with Vietnam.
After learning about the theory and the different EU pork cuts, participants got ready for their practice class. They were divided into smaller groups for a better learning experience and attended sessions about different cuts for European and Vietnamese cuisine, as well as a tapas masterclass with a professional ham carver where chefs learned how to make ham tapas.
The success of these masterclasses means a growing appreciation for EU pork in Vietnam and its potential to influence culinary practices and purchasing decisions among professional chefs.
