China International Import Expo (CIIE) was inaugurated in 2018 as a significant gesture by the Chinese government to give firm support to trade liberalization and economic globalization and actively open the Chinese market to the world.
As a world-class Expo, EU Pork, Excellence from Farm to Fork campaign could not miss it! CIIE facilitates countries and regions all over the world to strengthen economic cooperation and trade. The campaign booth was visited by a myriad of professionals from the meat sector interested in learning more about the key characteristics of EU Pork from Spain and Portugal, and getting in touch with exporters and stakeholders.
While visiting the booth, they had the chance to taste four key cuts promoted under the campaign, loin, ribs, belly and collar from Spain and Portugal. Chef Wugang performed a daily cooking demonstration from 12:00 to 16:00, in which he combined the tender and tasty EU pork with high quality ingredients to deliver delicious recipes for attendees to taste.
Moreover, there was a daily ham carving demonstration and tasting performed by Carver Andy Xiao, where those visiting our booth could have a taste of the cured ham and learn more about the history of ham, the curing process, and the carving method.
Overall, CIIE brought many opportunities to connect with the industry and expand the knowledge about EU Pork from Spain and Portugal.
