EU Pork, Masterclass series 2023 have successfully finished! During the second quarter of the year, a series of six masterclasses were conducted in Wuhan, Tianjin, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu, and culminated in Guangzhou. These activities provided an opportunity for over 240 culinary chefs from these six prominent cities to expand their knowledge and explore the excellence of EU pork.
From May 27th to July 1st, EU Pork, The Smart Choice campaign, organized these events in collaboration with esteemed institutions renowned for their dedication to excellence in culinary education, namely the Sichuan Tourism University, Omick School, and Tianjin Vocational Institute.
All the masterclasses followed a similar structure, consisting of a theoretical component and two workshops focused on cooking Chinese and Western cuisine featuring European Union pork. Chef trainees learned about the unique qualities of EU Pork originating from Spain and Portugal. The program included both theoretical and practical sessions where EU pork was used in the preparation of Chinese and Western dishes. Additionally, a session on ham carving was also conducted.
