Food lovers in Tianjin had the chance to enjoy something special this June, as four top restaurants joined the “EU Pork, The Smart Choice” campaign. From 13th to 27th June, diners were treated to exclusive menus featuring high-quality pork and ham from Spain and Portugal.
Each participating restaurant offered dishes that showcased different cuts and preparation styles, underlining the versatility and depth of flavour that European pork is known for. The campaign also highlighted the EU’s strict quality standards, sustainable farming practices, and trusted traceability.
The promotion kicked off with an inauguration event at FLO 福楼 on 13th June, attended by 44 guests. The restaurant presented a four-course menu, including:
- Traditional Spanish Pork Collar Paté, Serrano Ham, Pickled Vegetables
- Grilled Smoked Portuguese Pork Baby Rib, Caramel Apple, Red Wine Balsamic Sauce
- Crispy Spanish Pork Belly, Sauerkraut, Spice Roasted Potato
- Raspberry Ice Cream, Fresh Raspberry, Vanilla Cream
Guests also enjoyed a live ham carving demonstration and participated in a lucky draw. The restaurant’s chef introduced the menu and explained the preparation of each dish. Later, the MC gave an overview of the characteristics of EU pork and the main cuts used.
The two-week promotion offered diners a chance to discover the quality and variety of pork from Spain and Portugal—through dishes designed to make the most of every cut.
