In order to increase consumer awareness and raise the number of activities that are directly aimed at consumers, European Pork, Excellence from Farm to Fork Campaign will take part in a “global foods” open day for consumers. The event will consist of a whole afternoon of activities, with a combination of informative short sessions, interaction with KOLs and experiencing EU pork. The central area of the promotion will have small stands in which products can be displayed and given for tasting and where a chef and a ham carver can perform demonstrations.
The objective of this newly created activity is to make the consumers aware and familiar with the EU origin, to promote high-end cuts and products and to connect consumers with our media tools (O2O integration) for follow up in a fun and interactive environment, surrounded by all international food products.
Moreover, due to the COVID-19 disruption and the impact that has had in the trust placed by Chinese consumers in imported frozen products, the event will also emphasize the from farm to fork process, focusing on the safety aspects of the pork production from pigs in farms to final products in supermarkets.
