Are you a meat professional attending CIMIE? Then make sure you don’t miss the From Farm to Fork Technical Seminar taking place during the first day of the fair, from 15:00 to 17:00!
The 19th China International Meat Industry Exhibition (CIMIE) will take place in Qingdao from September 15-17. It is organized by China Meat Association and the International Meat Secretariat and it will be the host for the first technical seminar of the EU pork promotional campaign. All meat professionals attending the fair are invited to participate, learn more about the key characteristics of EU pork and get to taste four different cuts: belly, ribs, loin and collar!
During the 2h event, an expert will go through the key attributes of EU pork, the characteristics of the different cuts, and the production process empathizing from farm to fork safety and quality standards. The main objective of this seminar is to disseminate technical information to professionals, focusing on the different cuts promoted within the campaign, their characteristics, and the key messages featured. To complement the technical information, a chef will perform a cutting and cooking demonstration of the four cuts, which will be later distributed among attendees to taste in small sampling sizes, along with a selection of EU wines made available.
Moreover, there will be a ham carving section, where a professional ham carver explains the key ham curing process and goes over the carving technique, while providing ham samples for attendees to taste.
